C4GT is an ecosystem initiative to build an open-source community around Digital Public Goods (DPG), Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and tech building blocks with use cases in social impact.
C4GT has conducted two rounds of Dedicated Mentoring Program (DMP) since 2022 where selected students and working professionals get an opportunity to contribute to critical tech building blocks with the guidance of a dedicated mentor. They work closely with DPG builder and adopter organizations on real world problem statements that have a population scale social impact.
Here is a glimpse of the program from 2022 & 2023!
If you are excited to solve real world problems with your code, then C4GT is the community for you. We are launching C4GT Chapters in your college where each chapter will get an opportunity to work closely with select organizations and contribute to their products that are creating population scale impact!
Chapter membership is open to all, with no specific eligibility criteria for joining. We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets to become valued members of the C4GT community. Whether you're a student or simply passionate about technology and social impact, you are encouraged to join the college Chapter. As a member, you will have the opportunity to contribute, learn, and collaborate with like-minded individuals who share a common goal of driving positive change through technology.
The President serves as the spearhead of the Chapter. In the first round, college Chapters were set up via the DMP alumni, therefore, it was limited to the colleges from which DMP contributors were selected. Based on their performance and their interest, the alum could take up the role of the Founding President of the C4GT Chapter in their college. This exception has been made only for the first year.
In the second round, we’ve opened up applications for the role of founding President for everyone. Anyone interested in setting up a Chapter can fill out the interest form to submit their application. The C4GT team will reach out to the candidates to take it further.
The tenure of the President will be for a year and once the term ends, a new President will be selected after a rigorous selection process. Apply here.
The Core Team will comprise of 5 members with a minimum of 3 members having a technical background / interest and the remaining members to have marketing / event coordination / outreach experience. The team should have a minimum of 2 women members. The President will form their Core Team and submit a justification proposal with details (past experience, resume etc) for each member to the C4GT team for review. The Core Team's term will last for a year.
